Elon Musk is at it again, Twitter has just announced their newest introduction, effective immediately, users are now banned from linking tweets directly from other ‘rival’ platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or other similar Meta-owned platforms like Mastodon and Truth Social. It’s said that promoting posts from some social media platforms such as, TikTok, LinkedIn and Parler will still be permitted. The move has created some controversy, including from the former Twitter Chief Executive, Jack Dorsey, who replied to the tweet asking, ‘Why? The move doesn’t make sense.’

WhatsApp have created a ‘Fireworks within’ campaign to showcase how their platform brings friends and family from all over the world together at New Year’s Eve. Inspired by the fact that 100bn messages are expected to be sent on NYE, the 90-second film ad explores the different ways people choose to get in touch with their loved ones, once the count down is over. Vivian Odier, Head of global brand at WhatsApp, said, ‘We’re excited to celebrate those private moments people have in appreciation of the record setting use of WhatsApp on the holiday.’
