Even more impressive of the range of game plans the team employed to beat the ‘bus rush’. Strategies ranged from Riverboats, 7mile walks, and my personal favourite; setting up camp in a local pub until the tubes started again. The latter of course was destined to fail – but we did manage to score some free Taytos – people really do pull together in a crisis… One unexpected positive that came out of the chaos was the new picturesque corners of London we all discovered:Maybe not such a bad thing to break the routine after all!
