Coca-Cola is discontinuing their iconic Lilt drink after 50 years and replacing it with the new Fanta Pineapple & Grapefruit. The drinks company are reassuring the loyal fanbase that the iconic taste of Lilt that they know and love, which has been sold on shelves for half a century, has not changed, ‘’the same totally tropical taste’’. Some true Lilt fans have already clocked onto the rebranding move, months before the new logo and packaged drink was available, 14th February, they shared their hypothesise on social media. One even went as far as producing their own news broadcast-style video.

Global have launched a brand new station Radio X Classic Rock this week, hosted by presenter and music journalist, Sunta Templeton. The new station will be blasting out iconic Rock n Roll legends from all decades every day, available from DAB on the D2 multiplex, Global player, smart speakers and online. Tracks will include artists such as Queen, Blondie, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Templeton expressed her excitement about being chosen to front the new station, saying, ‘This is an actual dream come true’.

A snippet from the article suggests: Gen Z are twice as likely than Boomers to describe themselves as feeling ‘very positive’ despite the economic situation right now. Consumers 40+ are engaging with humorous messaging from brands, whilst on the other hand, younger consumers show a preference for motivational messaging. TikTok continues to take off, with 53% of Gen Z’ers interacting with brands on the platform now.
