SARAH’S FIRST MONTH AT THE VILLAGE
As I come to the end of my fourth week at The Village Communications I can reflect on what a whirlwind it has been, the office has a constant buzz of excitement with new clients and opportunities. The Village team are a great bunch and have done a brilliant job of bringing me up to speed with the media industry and making me feel instantly at home with lots of help and team lunches.
My first few weeks have consisted of getting to grips with the wide range of interesting clients they have from casinos to alcohol to property and I was even lucky enough to meet a few over drinks. Rose and I had a trip to the Twitter headquarters to hear their plans on how brands can tap into 2016 conversations, we also had a 21st century coffee dispensed by an iPad for our stroll back through Soho to the office. In addition, I have been to meetings with Snapchat and Google to hear about the new advertising plans they have installed and gain insight on how these can be adapted depending on the product and demographic.
I am looking forward to all the training offered by the Village to flourish in the industry with software such as TGI and Sysomos and I am starting to get a real feel for the journey a brand takes with the Village from the first brief to the implementation. I feel it is an exciting time to join the team, with their continuous success of winning clients there is certainly never a dull day and I look forward to see what the next month brings.
