It's been nearly four months since our newest Graduate Brooke started working at The Village...It’s been nearly four months since I started at The Village, and in this short time I’ve experienced so much! Whilst I am still getting my head around it all, from day one everyone has made me feel very welcome by being so helpful and supportive. I’m beginning to get to grips with the media terminology, and have begun to feel much more confident using the various software essential to media planning. I’ve found I learn something new every day, and look forward to expanding my existing knowledge of the media industry. As part of my ongoing training, I’ve been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to attend some amazing training days! One of my favourites was at Global Radio’s HQ, we watched live broadcasts from their studio and sampled their flash rooftop terrace!  Back in March, Helena and I also attended Kinetic Academy’s OOH day.  With a range of talks from industry professionals to behavioural psychologists, we learnt a lot. Though hands down the best part of the day was a tour of London’s most iconic and impressive OOH sites by bus. As we whizzed by on the bus, we spotted our picture which had made it onto one of the billboards! A particular highlight has to be the charity party that we organised on behalf of our client MQ, a mental health charity. It felt great to raise money for such a good cause and it was lovely having the chance to mingle with the media owners whilst sipping on delicious cocktails kindly provided by some of our alcohol clients. It’s been great spending some time together outside of the office at our monthly socials. Axe-throwing with Captify, and attending the Adweek party have been my favourites so far. I feel lucky to have become part of such a great team and have thoroughly enjoyed my first few months at the Village. Brooke x
